WAITING LIST
The New Bern Housing Authority maintains a waiting list for admission to Trent Court Apartments and New Bern Towers and will assign families on the waiting list according to the bedroom size for which a family qualifies as established by the below occupancy standards:

Placement on the waiting list does not indicate that the family is, in fact, eligible for admission. When the family is selected from the waiting list, NBHA will verify any preference(s) claimed and determine eligibility and suitability for admission to the program.
INCOME AND RENT DETERMINATIONS
A family's annual income is used to determine their income eligibility for housing and is also used to calculate the amount of the family's rent payment. NBHA will use the income information to ensure that only income-eligible families receive assistance and that no family pays more or less rent than is required under the regulations. Therefore, families must report accurate income information. HUD has established the below income limits:
